Frieze Academy: John Akomfrah in Conversation

6 May 2016

Join Frieze Academy for an evening of conversation with award-winning filmmaker John Akomfrah. Following his recent, critically acclaimed exhibitions at Lisson Gallery in London and the Arnolfini in Bristol, Akomfrah will discuss his new film trilogy (The Airport, Auto de Fé and Tropikos, all 2016) and his three-screen video installation Vertigo Sea, which premiered at the Venice Biennale in 2015.

John Akomfrah is an artist, filmmaker and a founding member of the influential Black Audio Film Collective. His works often explore the experience of the African diaspora in Europe and the UK.

The event will take place on Thursday 12 May, from 7 - 8:30pm, at the Rochelle School in East London. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets, please click here.
